Professional Pet Buddies Wanted

If you are interested in working with Pet Buddy Plus, review the sample of client expectations as to the duties included in visits and walks. If you think you have what it takes to be a Professional Pet Buddy fill out the questionnaire. You will be representing Pet Buddy Plus and contributing to the reputation of the business so you will be held to very high standards of integrity, dedication and customer service to ensure that our clients are not disappointed in any way. The work available is part-time to start and is classified as Independent Contractor assignments and not as an employee — employer relationship. You need to love and enjoy animals and want to work with all types of pets - Dogs, Cats, Birds, Fish, Chickens, Rabbits, Hamsters, Chinchillas, etc. Pet Buddy Plus clients live throughout the Hennepin and Anoka county suburbs so a reliable vehicle is a must! Pet Buddy Plus is in the process of expanding again, therefore the workload and hours available may be sporadic in the beginning, so the starting work is very part-time.

002

Pet Buddy Plus offers competitive pay. Independent Contractors earn 60% of the pre-tax amount of the job to start.

002

The assignments available are varied and somewhat flexible.

There are no set hours and there's no guarantee of any specific amount you will make per week nor is there any guarantee as to the number of pet visits or walks per week that would be available. Once the expansion of the business is established there should be more hours and visits available for you.

The summer months & holidays are the busiest times and offer a considerable amount of work. If you are available for mid-days as well, it's a dependable income. Part-time pet sitting is a good source of extra income but can be difficult as a sole source of income.

002

The hours for pet visits range from 6 am — 9 pm weekdays, weekends and holidays. Morning visits are generally between 6 AM — 9 AM Midday visits are between 10 AM — 3 PM Evening visits are between 4 PM — 7 PM Late evening visits are between 8 PM — 9 PM One visit a day cat visits are no more than 27 hours apart

002

When clients go out of town or on vacation, the number of visits from Pet Buddy Plus is generally determined by the types of pets they have. Cat families usually only need one visit a day with no more than a 27 hour gap between visits. Kitties who need medication or have special diet requirements usually need a minimum of 2 visits a day no more than 12 hours apart, depending on the client's instructions.

Dog families need a minimum of two visits a day no more than 12 hours apart. Three visits a day are 6 hours apart with a 12 hour lapse overnight.

002

If you are available during 10 AM to 3 PM you could have regular mid-day clients to visit for potty breaks and walks, for clients that work long hours or are unable to get home during the midday for their pup’s potty break. Your schedule can be flexible and arranged to best fit your availability in that you can choose Monday through Friday or anywhere from 1 to 4 days a week. The days you select to work will determine what area of town that you will need to visit.

If you commit to Monday through Friday or specific days, you would be responsible for those pets, they would depend on you to be there for them and Pet Buddy Plus would rely on you to keep your schedule since all Pet Buddies have their own Mid-day visits which would make it very difficult for someone else to cover your visits. Appointments or social events should be arranged around your pet-sitting / dog-walking schedule.

002

Some clients have pets who need overnight care in their home while they are away. Buddy Camp begins at 9 PM and ends at 7 AM the next morning. You will be there for dinner and breakfast, lots of walks, playtime, etc... Some clients opt for one or more mid-day visits in addition to the Buddy Camp services.

002

You CAN work full-time at other jobs and work with Pet Buddy Plus. You can do kitty visits, which are generally flexible and you can do vacation visits for dogs, as long as you are able to do early AM visits before your full-time work and are able to do evening visits after your full-time work, no more than 12 hours later than the previous potty break for two visit a day dog visits. You can visit dogs as early as 5:00 AM for breakfast & a walk if need be, then you would need to see the dog(s) again by 5:00 PM (12 hrs) for dinner time. If you have a flexible lunch schedule (able to take lunch no more than 6 hours after your morning visit) you would be able to take care of clients who need 3 visits a day. You would not be able to have a Mid-Day Walking schedule unless you were available from 10AM to 3PM. If you have other part-time jobs, you would have more flexibilty with your Pet Buddy Plus schedule.

002

Trust is the most important part of our service. Trust that we will provide the best care for our client's pets, and that we will honor and respect their privacy and their home and provide superior customer service.

You will be accompanied by a Professional Pet Buddy on your initial consultations with new clients and our existing clients if you were making those visits. These visits are not compensated since they are 'interviews'. Pet Buddy Clients are the number one priority to our business. Communication is a must, and an obligation to stay very personal with our clients is a must. They should know whoever is working with Pet Buddy Plus, entering their homes and caring for their pets.

All pet sitting visits will be arranged through the main Pet Buddy Plus office. If you recruit clients on your own as Pet Buddy Plus business clients you will earn a higher percentage of those acquisitions. You may recruit and retain your own clients but NOT while doing business as a Pet Buddy Plus representative.

If Pet Buddy Plus clients call you for scheduling, you need to have them call the PBP office directly so there is no confusion about the scheduling and so changes can be entered into the system.

You will fill out a W9 Form and receive a 1099 at the end of the year for any wages you have earned with Pet Buddy Plus.

002

A criminal background check will be performed.

You will be required to sign non-compete/ non-solicitation/ confidentiality agreements.
